Thank you Duchess. I pondered over whether to post this or not, but came to the conclusion, as per the subtitle, that the more offended someone is, all the better for it.
Rob, sometimes you have to hit people over the head to get them to understand that this thing is no different than that thing .....Dr. Ryan Cole refers to it as needle rape. I am not offended and please Ignore any psuedo feminist that will say to you that you are disrespecting actual rape. Hogwash. Not only is it NOT disrespectful, it can make people think of how utterably horrible the orignal thing is. . I see the parallels in the past two years to the rise of Nazi Germany and the Jews/gypsies/Holocaust. I cannot be bothered to even repond to people saying it is disrespectful to the people who died in the Holocaust. How is remembering their lives and what happened to them disrespectul? To me, it is disrespectful to not learn from what happened by pretending it could never happen again? Then the lives lost in the Holocaust would truly be in vain.
I hope you don't mind if I keep this. I think the parallel you draw is apt, and it needs to be said. Thank you for having the courage to call it for what it is.
Feel free to do what you like with it Dutchess, I think it makes perfect sense to draw the parralells to history and un fortunatelt, as you say, the only way sometimes to wake people up is to slap them round the face.
Wow. Just wow. Puts it all into perspective because it is no different au fond, is it?
